Chari Goldstein, M.S. LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
While my title and license is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist it can be misleading because I work with a wide range of clients including individuals, adults and teens along with couples who are married or unmarried. My training and experience focuses on helping people to resolve problems within significant relationships even if that relationship is with themselves.
My Areas of Specialty:
I have worked with individuals suffering from panic attacks and severe anxiety symptoms. Anxiety can be highly debilitating, making it difficult to function in all areas of your life and in many cases can lead to long periods of depression especially after repeated episodes of panic. I have worked with many people helping them to resolve severe anxiety symptoms within a short period of time. I utilize a combination of both cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and attachment based modalities.
In my work with couples, I use a highly effective scientifically proven model of therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is based on the best selling book, Hold Me Tight by Dr. Sue Johnson and according to the research is one of the most highly effective models of therapy to help couples heal from distress by learning to change long standing negative interaction cycles and recover faster when problems present themselves.
